Denver

Colin has been traveling to Denver the past little while and he has fallen in love.  He booked a trip for us over Memorial Weekend.  We had a great time.  It is a truly beautiful city, with lots of great things to do.
Colin and Jack at the airport.  Jack has been eating a blue sucker.

Our first stop was to Boulder.  We heard there was a festival that this was a fun Park City type town.

We found a guy selling Geodes.  My boys are rock fanatics.  This guy was one of a kind.  He helped them pick out a good one, then he had this contraption that would break it open.  He let the boys break open their own.  They were in rock heaven.  Each geode cost $30!  The rest of the trip we were on a search for more, and even more rocks!

The classic big long slides that the carni folk deliver...

We went to the aquarium and they had a special mermaid exhibit.  The girls loved that.  They had this mermaid show where the mermaids swam in the water with the fish and we got to watch them.  It was pretty neat to watch "mermaids" swim in a fish tank.

We went exploring and had lunch in the park.

The most fun we had is when we went to a Rockies game!  The city is very pedestrian friendly so they have pedi-cabs everywhere.  We decided to ride one to the game.  Based on the numbers we knew we would need two cabs.  Well, this crazy guy came by and wanted to try and take us all.  It was so much fun as we sat on each other and laughed at all the looks that we got!!

They have an amusement park there that is very similar to Lagoon.  We hit that, and they LOVED it!

There is a butterfly pavilion there.  It is a museum, with a big room where the butterflies just fly free.  It was really fun!  They would sometimes land on you, they were big and colorful!  Such a great experience.

They had a tarantula that you could hold.  The spiders name was Rose!!  They all got a sticker that said, "I held Rosie."  Kind of funny!

This is Ruby at the airport waiting for her flight.  She is holding her frog, and talking to Nana on her fake phone.  She is completely full of it and an absolute riot to be with!
Rose on her first carousel ride

These were big air bubbles that you get into they seal them off and then the put you on a pool of water. Really quite funny to watch.

Rose slept on the floor of the closet.
