City Creek

I have mentioned that my little Ruth is a shopper! She insisted we hit City Creek on opening weekend! It was crazy, but fun. We ate at the Nordstrom's 6th and Pine restaurant. It is a new FAV!!

Necessary Evil

Sometimes I feel that blogging is a "Necessary Evil." I love the outcome and the journal that I have each year, but sometimes it just piles up!! The bigger the pile the harder it is to get me to sit down and do it! YIKES!

Make a Wish

We have gone to the Make a Wish Gala the past couple of years. It is fun and is an organization close to our hearts! (George had his wish granted this year!) This year was fun and different it was at the Clark Planetarium. They had EVERY Star Wars character there. We got our picture taken with them. Afterwards we laughed, How would we explain to the boys that we went to this party...and didn't take them!!

I dont' know.

Happy 30th Birthday sisty ugler!

For my sister Ashlie's 30th Birthday we surprised her with a trip to the "Windy City". We had a great time! It was me, Ash, and my Mom, and Dad. My dad goes out there for a conference so we tagged along. It was a fun trip filled with lots of laughter, (Too much for pregnant bladders) and shopping, and eating. I love my sister with all my heart! With out her I would be lost in this world. I might spend a little less time on the phone, but none the less, I would be LOST! Thanks for turning 30 so that I have a excuse to be with you! You are awesome!
Me and Ash
We went to this really fun Natural History Museum. It made Ash and I miss the kiddo's. We decided to act like the kids, since they couldn't be with us.
My sweet daddy!
The Girls!
We shopped the magnificent mile like our hubby's were millionaires! So on the way back we made my mom carry all the bags so when my dad saw it, he would have a heart attack! Oh, we think we are so funny. Actually, we are.
Fun girl

Thanks for a great trip, magnificent memories, and yummy food. Till another excuse to escape...

Wish

Everyday at 1:00 I lay Ruby down for a nap. I give her a bottle, her binki, blanket, and turn off the lights. I tuck her in, with hopes that she will sleep for a few hours.

MY WISH:

Some one would do that to me...EVERYDAY:)

2nd Annual Candy Making Jubilee

Yesterday we cooked and we slaved away in the kitchen. It was most magnificent! We dipped chocolates this year for our candy making tradition. We had a great time.
Chocolates dipped:
*buttercream
* fudge
*fudge mint
*pretzel caramels
*salted caramels
*Lemon cake bites
*Raspberry cake bites

After we finished that we topped it off with some toffee, and fudge.
The fun began at noon, we closed up the factory at 10:45. It is a great tradition that we have started that I just LOVE. So do the recipients...

Love you ladies like I love a good day in the kitchen!
Let the Games begin...
The process of dipping is really messy. You pour the melted chocolate onto the counter.
The mess
Don't think that the kids were neglected. They enjoyed each other's company and had A LOT of candy.
Putting the chocolates in paper.
The finished product. YUM
I tried to be a photographer!
FUDGE!

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving weekend is one of our favorite times of the year. Good food, shopping, friends, family, and GRATITUDE. I have so much to be thankful for. I would list it all, but I feel it a little personal. Here are my top 5.

1. My little ones
2. My Hubby
3. My testimony of the True Church
4. My Home
5. My Savior

We had Thanksgiving at my mom's this year, with just my siblings. It was so quiet and small. The food was great, and Ashlie announced she is expecting in June! So great!!

Me, my mom, my sister, and my two sister in laws did Black Friday. Starting at 8:30 on Thanksgiving night until 7:00 am the next morning. It was so fun! We went to Park City outlets, Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Home Depot, Toys r us, and Robert's. It was so fun to be with those ladies and shop the night away.

We also went to Colin's parents on Friday night for some fun with our cousins.
Saturday we went to see Tangled. We partied like Rock Stars and thoroughly enjoy Thanksgiving 2010!!

It was our 10 year wedding anniversary this month. What a great man I am hitched to. Thanks to you for 10 great years, and here's to many, many more!

New York City...

Who: Me, Ruth, Nana, Ash, Ashley, Ellie, Kate, Emily, Whitley **Dane was with us too, he is getting trained in the city for his new job in SLC! They were so gracious and let us crash at their place.
What: Annual Girls trip to the Big Apple
When: May 19-23
Why: Girls just want to have fun!

This is us at the airport! We were so excited...
This is the group of us, hitting the town for the first time!
We were picked to be on the Today's show with Kathy Lee and Hoda! The little girls and I asked a question! So fun. When we left Ellie asked me if people will want her autograph! Definitely a highlight!
Then it was off to the "Happiest Place on Earth"...for little girls. The American Girl store. We had lunch in the cafe. So cute.
They give the doll a highchair and some tea to drink. DETAILS!
Ruth earned money to spend at the American Girl Doll store. She bought Lanie. She is the doll for 2010. I thought it fun, since that is the year she visited the Big Apple.
The girls with their bags...
That night we took them to Wicked. We had dinner reservations afterward for 11:00 pm.! The girls slept through dinner, but we did have them out on the town till 1:30! Party animals.
Norma's. The BEST breakfast in town.
Grey's Papaya! Yummy hot dogs.
Silly twinner girls.
Yummy Pizza in Greenwich Village. Thanks Dane!
Ground Zero
Lady Liberty. There were several times on this trip that Ashley or I were brought to tears by these girls. So sweet and innocent, they were so excited to see each new thing we did. This one in-particular was fun for me. Ruth couldn't wait to see the statue, and when she did, I cried! Most fun I have had in a long time. Thanks Ruth.
We went to the most fabulous Chocolate restaurant. Ruth's sauce for her noodles came in a syringe. She loved that. Still dreaming of that hot chocolate.
Riding the subway. We did that a lot. The girls loved it.
Brooklyn Bridge.
Hot Dog cart
Twins watching some street performers at Battery Park.
These girls were so much fun. We drug them everywhere and they never complained. They never argued, or cried. I had the time of my life with these sweet girls.
Church
Breakfast at Cafe Lalo, yummy waffles.
Temple
Central Park. Ashley was excited to see lots of green.
Pond in central park.

After that it was off to the airport.

I am giving a shout out to the Ladies who went with us. The influence that they had on these little girls was priceless. These two girls were the center of attention. These ladies played games with them on the subway, danced with them, made secret handshakes with them, and most of all laughed with them! Thanks to my dear NYC friends for all you did with my Ruth. She will always remember the City, but especially you!
She loves you , and so do I!!

Boston 2011, BABY!!!
