Green Smoothie

For over a year now I have insisted that my kids drink a spinach smoothie before they can have anything else to eat. It was a little bit of a struggle to implement this, but now there is no problems. They like it, and they know that it is for their brains!

This week we let ROSIE have some! She is in LOVE!

Movie Night

My girlfriends and I have a tradition to go to late movies during the week. It is so much fun and a much needed break from routine! This week we went to Footloose, which I thought was a great "Chick Flick". This was the first time I have left Rose in 5 1/2 weeks!

It was a GREAT opportunity for these two to bond...

Blessing day!

Today we blessed Rose. It is always so fun to do that. We gather the troops of wonderful family. We gave her the name Rose Mary Wright. I am always worried that Colin will exert his priesthood authority and change the name last minute. He didn't today! She is a beautiful baby that brings heaven to our home. We love you Rose Mary!

New Baby

With a new baby in the house I spend a lot of time feeding the baby. I will sit on the couch, and nurse her. After a few minutes, I am surrounded. I LOVE it! They want to be near me and Rose, and they come and sit with me. Good conversations, and Great CUDDLING have occurred in these moments. Tender mercies of the Lord for my Children...

Rose Mary Wright

YES!!! We did it! We got the fifth one here safe and sound. There is a long crazy story that goes with this birth, but I am happy to report she is here healthy, safe, and BEAUTIFUL.

Here's the story in a nutshell:

Colin was in California, and Ruth had Nutcracker try-outs, so we didn't have time to go into labor this weekend. Well, wrong!! Colin left friday morning and I could tell that something was happening. Panicked, I called my mom, she brought my dad up and he gave me a blessing, that all would be ok. My mom put me on bed rest so I could make it till sunday afternoon. The second that Ruth's try-outs were over I started contracting! After many hours of denial I went to the hospital where they admitted me. We told Colin to get on the first plane home, and asked the doctor to slow my labor. There isn't much to do to slow labor, so they gave me an epidural and didn't check me very often:) The first flight out was sunday morning at 6. Colin landed at 10:30, got to the hospital at 11, and a baby was born at 1:00! I can tell you that was a bit more crazy than I prefer, thank goodness we are done having kids. Rose completes us! We love her and kiss her every chance we get.

I thank Heavenly Father that I am a mom to 5 beautiful, healthy children daily! I thank him that the birth of our 5th worked out, just like was promised in my blessing... I especially thank my Heavenly Father for my companion, and best friend! I couldn't do it without him, and not because of all of his help, but because he is my smile, my escape, and my tether. The Lord has given me rich blessings which I am most humbled and grateful for...
